Disclaimer and Terms of Use
1. Nature of the Business
Exploribotics offers a platform for hobbyists and educators, providing design files for all mechanical parts and PCBs, guides, and documentation for a diverse range of projects. Our vision is to empower you to manufacture your own robot and be the master of your own creations. We provide the tools for you to source components from wherever you can get the best price, and you can use our design files to have your PCBs and mechanical parts manufactured by services like PCBWay or any other external vendor.
All our project guides contain a list of component specifications. Our guides are entirely independent and can be followed without purchasing a single part from our shop. While you are welcome to use your own vendors, we provide a selection of components that match these specifications for sale in our shop.
Please note that we do not sell finished, assembled, or certified products, such as kits. Instead we provide robot chassis which is not an electronics product, and we provide RoHS certified components to aid hobby development. We do not carry the inventory needed to finish any of our projects, and instead our shop stocks only on hard to get specialised parts such as custom made naked PCBs and motors.
2. The User’s Role as Manufacturer
By developing a final product based on our design and using components sourced from our website and/or other suppliers, the user expressly agrees that they become the legal manufacturer of the finished product. The user is therefore solely responsible for:
- The selection of components, the assembly, soldering, and correct use of all parts.
- All testing, certifications, and approvals (including CE marking, EMC compatibility, and compliance with the Radio Equipment Directive, RED) required for the finished product.
- Any damages or losses, including direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, caused by the finished product.
3. Testing of Reference Design
Exploribotics has built and tested a reference prototype for each published design to verify its functional feasibility. During our internal tests, the prototype worked as intended. This, however, is not a guarantee that the final product will be free of defects or that it will meet any specific legal or technical standards, such as CE, EMC, or RED certifications.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Exploribotics makes no warranties, either express or implied, regarding the suitability of the design for any specific purpose or its safety. By using this website and our resources, you acknowledge and agree that you accept your responsibilities as the manufacturer and assume all risks.
